You know when you misread something ...
Earlier today I went browsing to Digital spy and saw this article. I thought it said "Charlie Brooker for full time return". Then I realised that it was talking about the most depressing program on television, Eastenders. I would seriously love the BBC to give King Charlie a regular once a week or so slot at criticising many programs like he does.
That brings me to another point, when did it become acceptable for women to have men's names? Charlie to me has always been a guys name, and as a result miss Brooks should be striped of her first name and be given something less misleading. But then again she doesn't look like the most feminine of people, perhaps something like pat, we know it's a both man's and a woman's name, so we take care when thinking about anyone called pat. Has there ever been a hot Pat? It's just one of those names where it sounds like someone who takes no pride in their appearance.
This name swapping thing is quite serious though. I never knew until recently that Drew Barrymore was actually a woman. I associate Drew with the likes of Drew Carrey(deffo a bloke). Likewise Reese Withersoon. I thought it was a bloke. Are there really no more names left for these women then to use men's names?
Well that's all the cross namers offended, Who next?
