How to win(my vote in) the next election
I feel sorry for Gordon Brown, so here is my advice on how to win the next election.
The labour party is supposed to represent the working class, which I am, sort of and these are the things that the people want.
Lower fuel bills: When the price of a barrel of oil goes up, the petrol stations should not be allowed put up their bills for at least 7 days, so that consumers can stock buy petrol for 7 days before being hit by the new price.
This could also be tied in with a reduction in fuel duty, as I predict oil will hit $200 a barrel by the end of the year(that's at least £2 a litre, or £10 a gallon(if I've got my maths correct)).
Cut MP's expenses: Why should you lot get my money for a kitchen, we have to earn the money. It can then be better used as tissue paper for the homeless.
Cut NHS spending: I don't know about this, but apparently, a lot of money is wasted in the NHS, mostly to do with middle management being paid to manage. NHS is not a business, it's a hospital, the NHS should employ: Doctors, Surgeons, Nurses, Cleaners, and anyone else, closely linked with curing people, AND ONLY THESE PEOPLE!!!
Investment in infrastructure: New motorways, bypasses, and high speed railway lines need building. This is to speed up goods travelling, and thus lower costs.
Scrap Bio-fuels: They've not brought down fuel prices, so scrap them, so we can have more crops for food, that's what they were designed for.
Stop Immigration: Not one I've thought of, but there's a lot of working class(read labour's target audience) that see immigrants as stealing their jobs.
Increase Duty on Cigs: This one is personal, the smoking ban isn't working, by making cigs/fags etc. £20 for 20, people might just stop smoking inside.
Decrease Duty on booze: Booze is already too expensive, drop the price.
If Gordon Brown does these things, other than fannying about, then he will get my vote come the next general election, otherwise the official monster raving loony party(aka Tories) will.
